About: "Call Me" was the theme to the 1980 film American Gigolo starring Richard Gere as a high class male escort and featured in the opening sequence of the film. It was written by electronic / disco legend Giorgio Moroder with lyrics and vocals by Debbie Harry. Released in the US in early 1980 as a Blondie single, "Call Me" was No. 1 for six consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it became the band's biggest single. It also hit No. 1 in the UK and Canada. In the year-end chart of 1980, it was Billboard's No. 1 single. The artwork features a map of midtown Manhattan, which is synonymous with Debbie Harry and Blondie. The 1980’s public payphone dial features a “Debbie Harry calling card” on the dial, inspired by the type of cards escorts used to leave in public payphones. The “A” is a silhouette of the iconic singer and the telephone number references some of the bands songs: Detroit 442 and 11:59.

Color me your color, baby
Color me your car
Color me your color, darling
I know who you are
Come up off your color chart
I know where you're coming from
Call me (call me) on the line
Call me, call me any, anytime
Call me (call me) I'll arrive
You can call me any day or night
Call me
Cover me with kisses, baby
Cover me with love
Roll me in designer sheets
I'll never get enough
Emotions come, I don't know why
Cover up love's alibi
Call me (call me) on the line
Call me, call me any, anytime
Call me (call me) I'll arrive
When you're ready we can share the wine
Call me
Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh
He speaks the languages of love
Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh
Amore, chiamami, chiamami
Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh
Appelle-moi mon cheri, appelle-moi
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any way
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any day
Call me (call me) my love
Call me, call me any, anytime
Call me (call me) for a ride
Call me, call me for some overtime
Call me (call me) in my life
Call me, call me in a sweet design
Call me (call me), call me for your lover's, lover's alibi
Call me (call me) on the line
Call me, call me any, anytime

Call me, call me any
